Consumption of their own stools is a common but disturbing habit in dogs. While the true cause of this is not fully know, treatments such as "Deter" are known to deter this habit. Deter claim that independent tests have show a 95% success rate.

  • Active ingredients: Natural Fermented Vegetable Extract, Thiamine Hydrochloride (vitamin B1), and Capsicum Oleoresin (from hot peppers).
  • Instructions: Feed one tablet for each 10 lbs of body weight daily for 2 weeks. If results aren’t satisfactory, the dose can be doubled. Some dogs may need to continue taking DETER in order to see it’s effect, but some can be taken off after 2 weeks and will not go back to eating their own stools.
