Each pack contains 4 plastic tubes.
Droncit Spot-On is used for the treatment of tapeworms. It is effective against mature and immature forms of Dipylidium caninum and Taenia species. The product is also effective against Echinococcus multilocularis.
Droncit Spot-On should be administered at monthly intervals or when signs of tapeworm infestation appear.
Don’t forget the flea control! Fleas are often infected with the larvae of the Flea Tapeworm, which can be transferred to your cat by swallowing the flea while grooming. So in order to control worms, you also need to control fleas. A spot-on treatment is the easiest way to protect your cat - but you may also need one that kills flea larvae in your pet"s surroundings, to effectively break the flea lifecycle. If you don’t control a flea problem at the same time as worming, your cat is almost certain to be re-infected.

How to administer
Remove one tube from the package. Hold tube in an upright position, twist and pull off cap. Use reversed cap to twist and remove seal from tube.

Part the hair on the cat’s neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin. Application at the base of the skull will minimise the opportunity for the cat to lick the product.

To minimise the possibility of run-off after application of more than one pipette, it is advised that the applications should be performed slowly to allow absorption and that it may be advisable to allow the contents of the previous tube to be absorbed before applying another.
Causes
Nature has given worms many ways of surviving and multiplying, many of them almost unbelievably complicated. But however improbable these strategies may seem, they are highly successful – so successful, in fact, that it is virtually impossible to protect a cat against possible infection.
Symptoms
It’s not easy to determine whether a cat is infected with worms, particularly in the early stages. Your cat may suffer from vomiting or diarrhoea, and their coat may lose condition. A cat with tapeworms may spend more time than usual cleaning its bottom, since the egg-filled worm segments irritate it. You may even find segments in the cat’s bedding - they are pale in colour, and about the size of a grain of rice.
In general, though, by the time symptoms are noticeable your cat’s health is already being damaged, and the worms have reached maturity. This means that they will be producing eggs and creating a reservoir of infection in the environment.
Far better to worm your cat with Droncit Spot-On on a regular basis, before the symptoms become obvious.
