Dog kennels come in various shapes and sizes depending on what it is to be used for. Some people like the traditional looking timber dog kennels, others like the low maintenance plastic dog kennels. Please remember that timber kennels will require regular treatment with a kennel protector to avoid the timber cracking.
So what is right for you, well, you need to consider if the dog kennel will be outside all year round. Is the kennel for occasional use or will it be used day in day out. How well acclimatised is your dog to outdoor life, are they destructive, in which case your dog kennel will need to have anti-chew strips.
Will your dog be in their dog kennel in the winter or at night-time? In which case, consider getting a dog kennel with flaps, or better still, with insulation. Finally, you will need a dog kennel bed that will say the course. Make sure it is easily washable and resistant to fleas, always have a spare on hand while one is in the wash.
